Capturing Anglesey: A Photographer's Guide to the Best Locations

As a photographer based on Anglesey, I'm fortunate to work in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK. The island's diverse landscapes — from sweeping beaches to rolling countryside — provide incredible backdrops for property photography.

Rhosneigr and the West Coast

The west coast of Anglesey, particularly around Rhosneigr, offers stunning golden light in the evenings. Properties here benefit from aerial photography that can capture both the property and its proximity to the beach.

Beaumaris and the Menai Strait

Properties overlooking the Menai Strait have a natural advantage — the water provides a beautiful, ever-changing backdrop. Morning light here is particularly flattering, and drone footage can showcase the relationship between the property and the water beautifully.

Every property has a best time of day. Part of my job is finding it.

The Rural Interior

Inland Anglesey offers quiet lanes, stone walls, and open fields. For rural properties, I always recommend capturing the approach — the driveway, the surrounding land, and the sense of space that comes with a countryside location.

Tips for Property Owners

If you're preparing your Anglesey property for a photo shoot, here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Tidy outdoor spaces — the garden is often the first thing buyers see
  • Open curtains and blinds to let in natural light
  • Remove personal items and clutter from visible surfaces
  • Let your photographer know about any views or features you'd like highlighted

Anglesey is a special place, and photographing properties here is a privilege. If you'd like to discuss a shoot, get in touch.
